More about me
Growing up, I had no idea what I wanted to do. When it comes to academic education, I had my ups and downs. Sometimes, I did really well (scored 98 in mathematics once). Other times, not so much (B- in accounting).
Careerwise, everyone I knew pushed me toward the technology sector. I took computer science in college, interned in a software testing role, and worked for a couple of years as a software engineer.
These experiences made me realize that while I loved discovering, trying, and using different tools and software and understanding how they work as a business and make money, I wasn’t as keen on learning how to build them.
Coding was not my cup of tea. That’s why I kept experimenting with building blogs and websites on the side, creating content such as software reviews and guides, and learning how to market and monetize them.
But I still yearned for formal business education. So, I went for an MBA program at Babson College (USA), where I caught the entrepreneurial bug.
Taking what I learned from my experiments with blogging and digital marketing, and with certifications in Google Analytics and Google Ads, I started helping businesses grow their online presence, especially the ones who sell software products. And I have been doing this for more than a decade now.
I have led PPC, SEO, social media, and content marketing campaigns for 150+ clients, written/edited 2500+ pieces of content in over 15 industries, and managed accounts ranging from $5k to $50k in monthly spending.
I have worked with businesses of all sizes – from startups to large franchises – in multiple industries, and have served hundreds of clients from the UK, Malaysia, the US, and Australia.
These include companies such as Piktochart, Automattic, Blink, Sprinklr, HeroThemes, Website Builder Expert, and Drip.
Plus, I have written content as a guest for countless more, such as Jeff Bullas, Kinsta, CoSchedule, OceanWP, SingleGrain, Cloudways, and ClickUp.
However, these days I am taking very few clients and focusing more on HypeGig, this blog that you’re reading. Because it gives me the opportunity to keep fueling my passion for technology, work, and business.
Plus, it lets me connect straight with readers like you, and if possible, help you with my knowledge, thoughts, and experiences.
